When Inked Under Ground opened its doors in January 2024, we realized something important—Winchester didn’t have a single professional piercing studio. That didn’t sit right with us. Our mission has always been to serve our community, and filling that gap was the natural next step.

Now, Inked Under Ground is proud to offer piercing services right alongside our custom tattoos. And just like our tattoo artists, our piercing team isn’t just here to do a job—they’re here to make every client feel seen, heard, and confident in their skin.

Meet Our Piercers: Lauren & Destiny

When it comes to piercing, skill and personality matter equally. That’s why we couldn’t ask for a better duo than Lauren Walker and Destiny Griffith.

Lauren Walker has been piercing on and off for 20 years, and her expertise shines through in every appointment. For her, piercing is more than just placing jewelry—it’s about curation. Lauren loves helping clients design ear setups that tell a story, fit their personality, and make them feel beautiful. Whether it’s a simple lobe piercing or a more complex arrangement, Lauren approaches every piece as if she were creating art on a living canvas.

Destiny Griffith, on the other hand, represents the next generation of piercers. She began apprenticing earlier this year, and she’s already shown a natural talent for the craft. Destiny’s passion comes from her love of people—she thrives on connecting with clients, learning their stories, and helping them express themselves. Around Inked Under Ground, she’s affectionately known as “Mrs. Frizzle,” thanks to her other job as a school bus driver. True to the nickname, she even dressed up as everyone’s favorite magical teacher for our Halloween event! Destiny brings that same fun, approachable energy to piercing, making clients feel comfortable even if they’re nervous.

Artists With Personality

What makes Lauren and Destiny special isn’t just their technical ability—it’s their personalities. They’re approachable, down-to-earth, and relatable in ways that put clients instantly at ease.

Outside the studio, Lauren loves to read and is unapologetically hooked on what she calls “trash TV.” That mix of humor and honesty carries over into her piercing work, where she knows exactly how to calm nerves and keep things lighthearted.

Destiny, on the other hand, is a lover of horror movies, true crime shows, and spending time with her family. She’s creative, fun, and compassionate, with an energy that makes every appointment feel less like a procedure and more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be very good at piercing.

Their Advice for First-Timers

If you’ve never had a piercing before, it’s normal to feel a little nervous. Lauren and Destiny know this better than anyone, and they each have their own words of wisdom for clients on the fence.

• Destiny’s advice: “JUST DO IT! The pain is temporary, but beauty is forever. And if you don’t like it, you can just take it out!” Destiny’s bold and encouraging attitude has helped many first-timers conquer their fears.

• Lauren’s advice: “Don’t work yourself up. Do your research, and find someone who will be there for you during the healing process. You CAN do hard things.” Her calm, steady approach is a reminder that piercing is as much about patience and trust as it is about the jewelry.

Together, they strike the perfect balance between motivation and reassurance—pushing clients to embrace the experience while also providing the support to make it a positive one.
